A Boudoir Photoshoot with Eva at Mint Room Studio

A white bath, pale curtains and a bouquet of deep red and purple flowers set the palette for my session with Eva at Mint Room. The room holds the series together, while changes in pose, clothing and framing give the photographs different moods.

The room as part of the photograph

We photographed this session in the studio's bath setting. The freestanding tub, mirrors, pale walls and dried flowers give the wider frames their context. In the closer photographs, only a small part of that setting remains around Eva.

These images show the room as it looked for our shoot. For a future session, we would check the current rooms, decor and availability with Mint Room Studios before confirming a plan.

A bouquet against a pale background

The bouquet adds a darker colour to the cream and white surroundings. In one frame Eva holds it while sitting beside the window; in others, the flowers lie across her torso as she reclines. Moving closer brings attention to her face, hands and the shapes of the flowers.

I like how that one element connects several compositions. It is still recognisable when most of the room has disappeared from the frame.

Changing the frame around the same setting

The series moves between wider views, seated poses and closer portraits. A loose white shirt appears in another part of the shoot, alongside photographs arranged around the bath and mirrors. The room stays familiar, but the amount of space, the lines of the pose and the clothing change.

The short video above and the gallery below show different parts of the session. You can open the gallery photographs individually to see the complete frames.

Planning a boudoir session of your own

If something in this series appeals to you, it can be a useful starting point: the colours, the room, the flowers or the quieter close portraits. We can discuss which parts suit the photographs you would like to make and choose a setting around them.

You can explore my current boudoir sessions or send me your idea. Studio arrangements, wardrobe, comfort level and image privacy are part of that conversation.
