What should these photographs do for you?

You do not need to arrive with a finished concept. Start with the reason, the feeling or the moment—and we will shape the visual direction together.

Direction without performance

You bring yourself. I guide the rest.

Most people are not used to being photographed. That is not a problem to solve before the session—it is part of what professional direction is for.

Client experience

Relaxed is not a look. It is how the session feels.

Useful direction should make you feel more like yourself—not more aware of the camera.

Behind the camera

Your life already has a visual language.

I’m Dmitry, a Toronto photographer. A lifestyle session is not about inventing a polished character for the camera. It is about recognizing what is already yours: the places you return to, the way you move when you are comfortable, the details of this particular season of your life.

We begin with the story you want the photographs to carry. It may be quiet and personal, energetic and editorial, or simply an honest record of who you are right now. I shape the location, light, pace and direction around that idea, then leave enough space for real moments to happen.

You bring the life. I translate it into photographs that still feel true years from now.

Before you ask

A few useful answers.

The short version: you do not need a perfect concept, wardrobe or camera confidence before getting in touch.

I feel awkward in photographs. Will you pose me?

Yes. I guide posture, hands, movement and expression throughout the session. Direction is part of the service, not something you are expected to bring.

Studio or on location—which should I choose?

Studio is ideal for a controlled, polished portrait set. A real location adds context, movement and a more lived-in feeling. Tell me what the images are for and I will recommend the better fit. Studio is included in the Studio Portrait and Signature formats; external location fees are quoted separately.

What should I wear?

We plan wardrobe around the mood, location and intended use of the photographs. You will receive practical guidance before the shoot, and you can send options if you want help narrowing them down.

When do I see the photographs?

A private selection gallery is normally sent within 2–7 days after the session. From there, you choose the photographs included for professional retouching.

Will my photographs be published?

Only with your separate permission. Your gallery is protected, and being photographed does not automatically grant permission to publish your images.

How do I book?

Send a short inquiry with the purpose, preferred timing and any early ideas. I will reply personally with the recommended format and next step.

Your idea, photographed

Bring me the idea. I’ll shape the photographs.

Tell me the reason, rough timing and intended use. One conversation is enough to find the right direction.

Discuss your session
