Within five days of her first message, we had the shoot scheduled, styled, and underway. And despite the tight window, we created something truly unforgettable.
From Idea to Iconic in Under a Week
Alysha and I jumped on a Zoom call to plan everything—quickly but intentionally. Her vision was timeless and elegant: a white lingerie set, silky robe, and a delicate bridal veil. We chose Icon Studio Space, one of my favorite light-filled studios in Toronto, to bring this vision to life.
Every detail was designed to feel like an extension of her wedding day—romantic, intimate, and full of gentle confidence. Flowers, soft textures, and a soothing color palette set the scene for something truly special.
A Small Delay, a Seamless Experience
On the day of the shoot, our makeup artist (whom I worked with for the first—and last—time) was delayed by 30 minutes. In high-pressure situations like this, experience matters. I quickly coordinated with the studio to adjust our timeline, ensuring Alysha got her full session without compromise.
Despite the limited time, we captured three looks in under an hour. Her energy, elegance, and trust made the shoot flow naturally—exactly how a bridal boudoir should feel.
A Secret Gift—and a Beautiful Surprise
After the shoot, the turnaround began. I completed the initial editing, curated her gallery, and did deep retouching on her selected favorites. I also managed a rush print order—ensuring her surprise was wedding-day ready.
Alysha chose a few elegant small prints, hidden in her groom’s jacket for a private, playful moment. The full gallery now lives on her phone—a secret she can revisit anytime.
